CHOOSING YOUR DINNER
Buffet or à la carte in Marrakech: which should you choose for dinner?
A buffet suits diners who enjoy trying several dishes; à la carte lets you order a particular favourite. Compare the full cost, including drinks and any desserts.

Start with what you feel like eating
When choosing dinner in Marrakech, ask yourself whether you want one particular dish or a chance to try several preparations. If you already have a tagine, pizza or another favourite in mind, ordering à la carte lets you build your meal around it.
A buffet suits a different appetite: trying a little of several dishes, returning to favourites and composing your own plate as the meal unfolds. With friends, everyone can follow their own tastes. The appeal is about variety as well as quantity.
The differences that matter at the table
| Your priority | All-you-can-eat buffet | À la carte |
|---|---|---|
| Choice | Try several dishes available on the buffet. | Order a particular dish from the menu. |
| Quantity | Help yourself according to your appetite. | Choose the dishes and portions you order. |
| Budget | The buffet price, plus any extras. | The total of your dishes, desserts and drinks. |
| Pace | Visit the buffet; some preparations involve a wait at the counter. | Order, then allow time for preparation and table service. |
Neither format automatically guarantees a faster meal. If you have a show, appointment or departure time, mention it before ordering.
Compare the complete meal, including drinks
The price of one main course and the price of a whole buffet are not directly comparable. Think about whether you also want a starter, dessert or drink. Check what each option includes and the prices of anything extra.
At Pensée, the dinner buffet costs 150 MAD per adult, excluding drinks. Two adult buffets therefore total 300 MAD before drinks. An à la carte bill depends on what you order. This is a way to compare the meal you actually want, without assuming that one format is always cheaper.
Choosing dinner at Pensée in Guéliz
Our dinner buffet runs every day from 8pm to 10:30pm. It includes salads, soups, hot dishes, Moroccan specialities, savoury bites, fruit, pastries and ice cream. Grilled dishes and crêpes are cooked to order in front of guests. The buffet selection varies by day.
If that variety appeals, explore the dinner buffet, children’s prices and drinks menu. If you would rather order a particular dish, browse our food menu and prices before booking. Our team can also help you choose according to what you feel like eating.
